Who does your sterilizer PMs and at what frequency?

This is always a big topic at survey. How frequently are you doing PMs and do you utilize an in house tech or manufacturer or third party?

We have the vendor do our sterilizers. Way back when, I was part of a regional hospital network and we had 2 techs that specialized and serviced all the sterilizers in our network

We currently use a mix depending on the site. Some locations rely on manufacturer service contracts for larger units or when they're still under warranty. Others use third-party vendors with experience in sterilizer maintenance. PM frequency is typically semi-annual, though a few sites push for quarterly checks depending on usage and equipment age. In-house techs generally handle minor troubleshooting and follow-up after service.

Who do you have generally as a manufacturer? My site is looking in to new ones and want to switch from asterisk to Getinge
